Moon

I spent my youthful nights
Looking and dreaming of moon;
Hoping I would walk on that
Celestial companion so small;
Dreaming that one day I may
Leap towards that tiny globe
And find myself on its seas;
Those seas of random dust
So expansive and huge complete;
That place of space I dreamed
Every night and it was wonderful;
All was for a second though in
That time long ago in childhood.
