This Mercy

Give me a day of peace
And a day of all rest,
Give me a moment of love
And a moment of expression.

Yes I want peace fully
And love so pure complete,
I want these things to come
Now and forever within life,
I want them to be seen.

This world needs goodness to arise
And the shadows to be pushed aside,
The children of this age need mercy
To come within their lives now,
And the homeless need an expression
Of kindness to come before them.

Humanity will always decline
If we do not begin to care,
Of the hearts of the meek
And the souls of the hurting,
We need to see the love of virtue
Expressed to all every single hour,
And every single moment within life.
